May 3 Update

 Hello!

Lots of exciting things happening as we head into the final few weeks of school!

First off, I'm VERY PROUD of everyone for giving their best effort as we took the MAP tests this week! We were also treated this week to a presentation from the Franklin Soil and Water Department. Please see the pictures below as we explored habitats in anticipation of our ZOO trip on Friday!

SUPER GAMES is on Monday! We are in the afternoon session. Students can bring a change of clothes for after super games if they happen to get wet in some of the water activities. That is not required though. Particularly because we are in the afternoon session, many choose to just head home after and, if a little wet, change at home. We will take our water bottles outside that day so please send a water bottle. You are also welcome to apply sunscreen prior to school. This should be a FUN time for these fabulous students!!

We are also looking forward to our zoo trip on Thursday! I will send an email on Tuesday with final information on packing (please send a paper bag lunch with all throw away items), comfortable walking shoes and any other important information!

As for our chick eggs - we are on day 9 as of Friday in their 21 day incubation. We continue to watch them and will candle them next week to see "inside" the shells at their growth!

If you have any questions, please reach out!
Thanks!!
Wendy

Ask your child about the story of the Empty Lot! Was it really empty? What habitats were found? What animal did they place in the lot during the presentation?
