Hello! What a busy week! We had a great week with a grand finale FUN time at the Hopewell Hawk Hike today! Some info to share: Here is the link for Hopewell spirit wear if you are interested in ordering. We welcomed 2 new interns/volunteers to our room this week! YAY! Mrs. Grimm is a children's librarian with a love for learning and working for kids, and she will be here on Tuesday mornings with me volunteering in some small group in-classroom support and/or working with the class to allow me more time for some small group work. So, you may start to hear her name. Also, Miss Karla is a Dublin Teacher Academy (DTA) intern here with us on Wed, Thurs and Fri afternoons for 6 weeks. The DTA program is housed at Emerald Campus for juniors and seniors interested in exploring the teaching profession. They do rotations in both elementary and middle school. Hello! My goodness, this week flew by! Most importantly, in the minds of the kids, we are having another gem jar celebration tomorrow (Friday, 9/22). It will be TOY DAY! Students can bring in 1 toy or stuffed animal that will fit in their backpack. Please remind them that whatever they bring, they need to be willing to play and share it with their friends during our morning explore time. It is not best to bring in a toy that is so coveted and special that the child doesn't want anyone to touch it or play with it. Next week is our Hopewell Hike Week! Please see the flyer sent home with the students! ***Please sign and return the bottom portion as it is the permission slip to walk to Ferris-Wright Park next door to Hopewell for our hike next Friday!!
