Nov 21 Update
A fun 2 days in our short week! We enjoyed using the picture book Balloons Over Broadway as a mentor text to talk about the design and inventors behind the historical Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Then, we made our OWN balloons for our school-wide parade on Tuesday afternoon! We also created a class "float" to lead our class in the parade to tie into our content on force and push/pull with motion. LOTS of great conversations and loads of creativity!! Pictures below! Enjoy the long weekend! I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday! Thanks, Wendy Busy creating our balloons! We had everything ranging from Frozen to Mario to Pikachu to dragons and unicorns! Lots of great designs! Our class float is the "Room 146 City" with a park on the top, a restaurant on 1 side, Target on 1 side and a waterpark and pool on the final 2 sides. : ) Ready for the parade! First, we watched! Then, we walked! Our turn! All 18 here today making for a great class picture!
