Mar 8 Update

Hello!

Many pictures below showing our learners in action! I can't believe we have just 1 more week until spring break. Sure was nice to have some warmer weather this week - for playing and even some outside learning!

As always, let me know if you have any questions -

Thanks,

Wendy

We went out into the sunshine to work on our maps focus by making maps of our playground.

Mrs. Doucher is taking some coursework to further her studies and, as part of that coursework, will be bringing a few science experiments into our classroom. YAY! This one shows colored dye separating with dishwasher detergent due to the water/sugars in the milk base!

The start of our "city" map - we have it planned out - now for the creating!

In math, our focus has been on 2D shapes, particularly noticing their attributes and classifying them based on their differences. This game is called "Last Shape In Wins" and is a favorite. I love to see their strategies starting to unfold as we play it!

Above and below, we are getting to work on making everything for our city map!

And finally - here are a few pictures at the Franklin County Dog Shelter with our adoption opinions hanging alongside the dogs! It was a very rewarding and authentic project!!
