Dec 1 Update
Hello!
***Monday is "COZY DAY" as a gem jar celebration! Students may come in cozy pajamas and bring a blanket and/or stuffed animal, and we are going to get all warm and cozy by making hot chocolate together and then drinking it while we enjoy a cozy book! If you have a concern with your child having hot chocolate or marshmallows, please let me know! I can provide an alternate snack or drink instead.
Please see below for pictures from our week!
Thanks,
Wendy
Mrs. Grimm, our weekly volunteer, brought us all a surprise on Monday! Everyone got a Dunkin' Donuts hat from the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade! Mrs. Grimm was there as a chaperone for the Jerome Marching Band that marched in the parade along with Dublin Coffman and Dublin Scioto high schools. Thanks, Mrs. Grimm! I even got a new hat! : )
This week, we enjoyed learning about the language of Marathi. We made some comparisons and contrasts between Marathi and Hindi. We appreciate Miss V, a frequent substitute in the building, and Vihaan, a 4th grade student, for taking the time to come and share with us some common Marathi phrases and songs! One of our students also speaks Marathi in their home and shared the toy (below) used in some celebrations in her home. She also taught us how to count and taught us some color words!
